This is the most commonly used Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL). The light coils are not enclosed in a decorative cover, so they have the appearance of a spiral. Ours are long-lasting (approx. 10,000 hours) and energy saving. They use ¼ to 1/5 the energy of an incandescent light bulb to provide the same amount of light. They are available from 2 to 200 watts, but provide the equivalent lighting of 15 to 300 watt incandescent light bulbs.

Base Types
* Medium Base: E-26 = the same size base as a regular incandescent light bulb
* Candelabra Base: a smaller base the size of a night light; common in chandeliers
* Mogul Base: E-39 = a very large base, used most often for industrial applications
